The Legacy Action and Royal Development Initiative took part in the International Youth Day 2024 event organized in Buea by the Women's International League for Peace and Protection. The goal was to enable youths to engage in open dialogue and make statements aligned with the theme of this International Youth Day.
SOUTH WEST YOUTH DÉCLARATION FOR PEACE
We the Youths of Fako Division in the South West Region of Cameroon on this day the 14th August 2024, Have come together in line with the international youth Day celebration on the theme “From Click to Progress: Youth Digital pathway for sustainable development”
Under the sub theme “Youth Effective use of digital media in promoting peace and sustainable development”
In an activity organised by Women International League for Peace and Freedom with support from the United Nations democracy Fund (UNDEF) and in local collaboration with Women Peace initiative.
We hereby affirm our commitment with the values, principles on effective use of digital media in promoting peaceful and responsible living amongst ourselves and communities using our different local initiatives in accelerating efforts towards achieving the sustainable development Goals.
We reassure our total patriotic endeavors towards Nation building by continuing our engagement with the government, our local and international development actors, traditional and religious authorities, women and youth groups as a way of making Peace and progress a reality in the development pursuits for community and nation building.
