LARDIN IN PARTNERSHIP WITH HNF ORGANISED SENTIZATION CAMPAIGN ON FAMILY PLANNING IN TOPLINE CAMP ON THE 17TH

THEME: LEAVE NO ONE BEHIND, COUNT ON EVERYONE

In view of the commemoration of the world population day 2024 under the theme LEAVE NO ONE BEHIND, COUNT ON EVERYONE. World population day is observed on the 11 of July every year, it is aimed at raising awareness about global population issues and their impact on our society and the world at large. It creates awareness on various population issues such as the importance of family planning, gender equality, poverty, mental health and human rights. The event was established by the United Nations Development Programme in 1989. THE LEAGACY ACTION AND ROYAL DEVELOMENT INITIATIVES partnered with the HENRIETTA NKONGCHU FOUNDATION to sensitize the population on various methods of family planning (especially women), on method to control the population and save women’s lives, gender equality and poverty. This was an opportunity to educate young girls on menstrual hygiene and how to calculate their periods therefore knowing their safe and unsafe periods. This activity was held at TOPLINE camp (LIMBE) in the south west region of Cameroon.
