on Wednesday the 4th of December, 2024, the Legacy Action and Royal Development Initiative (LARDIN)'s as part of our initiative during the 16 Days of Activism was impactful. Visiting the Ngeme market situated in Limbe II subdivision, southwest region of Cameroon, in partnership with Henrietta Nkongchu Foundation, to educate women about gender-based violence while also addressing health concerns like blood pressure is a commendable effort. Providing counseling and support for women who are overweight or underweight addresses both social and health issues, which can be very beneficial for the community.

On same day, we convened at GBTHS, Isokolo, to discuss the 16 Days of Activism and the issue of gender-based violence with the students. We emphasized to the girls precautionary measures to help them avoid potential violations, such as avoiding revealing clothing and steering clear of isolated places, like abandoned buildings. We also encouraged mutual respect among the students, while recognizing the boys’ roles as potential perpetrators. We believe it is important to start educating them about respectful behavior as they grow into men and women.
