Despite heavy rain and mud, the LARDIN team and local residents united for a successful clean-up drive in Mokindi Isokolo, transforming a littered street into a clean and healthy public space.

On August 27, 2026, the weather tested our resolve, but our commitment to a cleaner community proved stronger.

The LARDIN team, alongside passionate residents Marriot Inn Stree of Mokindi Isokolo village, hit the ground for a community clean-up drive on Marriott Inn Street, Limbe.

Using our proven 3-Step Community Transformation Journey, we achieved lasting impact:

This activity aligns with LARDIN’s WASH and Waste Management pillar, promoting a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment.

A total of 15 sensitization engagements were conducted along the main street of Mokindi, Isokolo. This comprised 1 household sensitization and 14 business-owner engagements.

During the exercise, the team directly engaged community members on the importance of proper waste disposal, waste separation/sorting, and maintaining a clean and healthy environment.

A total of 28 beneficiaries were reached through the sensitization. The beneficiaries included youth, women, children, elderly persons, community/business owners, and the Quarter Head of the area.

The engagements provided an opportunity for direct interaction and practical education on responsible waste management practices.

During the clean-up exercise, the team collected 7 bags of plastic waste and other solid waste from the targeted area along Marriott Inn Street.

All collected waste was sorted, with particular emphasis on separating plastic waste to ensure proper disposal and to facilitate potential recycling.
